Hamburg Township

Hamburg township was organized in March 26, 1835 and included present day Genoa township. Genoa township was set off from the northern half of Hamburg township on March 11, 1837. Hamburg township is bounded on the west by Putnam township, on the north by Genoa township, the east by Green Oak township, and the south by Washtenaw County. It contained the villages of Pettysville and Hamburg as well as a neighborhood known as Newburg. Learn more about Hamburg Township.
